Seoul is one of the most lively, cultural and magnificent cities in Asia. Check out this list of our favorite 3 things to do in Seoul that’ll help you get the best out of this city!
1.Enjoy the Nightlife of Hongdae
Seoul’s Hongdae district is where the city comes alive at night and is simply the best place to be if you want to blow off steam and see how South Koreans get down and party. Known for its indie music scene, its arts and the fact that it is the location of major Universities, Hongdae’s crowds are young, fun and boisterous. On the streets at night, be sure to try the many different types of food available from street vendors while you dip in and out of bars and clubs.
2.Wander around Gyeongbokgung Palace
Korea’s best-known and best-loved royal residence is definitely worth checking out and wandering around from both up close and further away. Reconstructed in 1867, the history surrounding Gyeongbok is a little tragic , but visiting it is relatively inexpensive and you’ll have access to the museum as well as the palace grounds too.
3.Diversify yourself in Bukchon Hanok Village
Situated between the palaces of Changdeok and Gyeongbok, Bukchon Hanok village is a traditional Korean spot with an interesting history. It has the largest cluster of privately owned traditional Korean wooden homes or hanok. Keep an eye out for the half-dozen or so alleys that have beautifully restored architectural features like small courtyards, decorative outer walls and dark tiled roofs. Bukchon is one of the prettiest areas of Seoul and great for whiling away some time in its numerous cafes.
The aforementioned three things will keep your budget healthy and your wanderlust satisfied. Now go forth and explore.
